I’m a little behind on the belly update, but in my defense I was relaxing on the lake when I hit 30 weeks on Monday. A much needed vacation for this pregnant momma! Although a vacation isn’t what it used to be with a 2 year old to chase after (who can relax when fearing your brave little girl is going to jump in the lake at any moment?).
But we’re back home (and I’ll give you a full vacation report on Monday) and getting back into the swing of things. It’s still ridiculously hot outside, but I’m sure you already knew that. I can’t seem to cool off. I feel like I’m sweating 24/7, which is a horrible feeling. I’m trying to wear as few clothes as possible without looking skanky! My hair is almost always in a ponytail to get it off my neck. And flip flops are just about the only shoe I wear.
I’m still going to Stroller Strength class and it’s kicking my butt. I get so winded! This girl is all up in my lungs. I feel sympathy for asthmatics. It sucks not being able to breathe! Hubby has finally gotten used to me taking deep breaths and finally stopped asking if I was OK every time I do it (which is OFTEN). My sneakers are also bugging me during Stroller Strength class. I always buy my running shoes a half size too big, but my toes are all smushed up in the front of my shoes! My feet did not grow with my first pregnancy, so that has taken me by surprise.
I have my 3-hr glucose tolerance test coming up this week and I’m dreading it! The one hour test makes me feel like crap, so I can only imagine what double the dose does to me! And sitting around the OBs office for 3 hours doesn’t sound like much fun either. Though it will be toddler free……………..
Cupcake is moving out of the nursery today and I’ve hung all the teeny tiny clothes up in the closet. I forgot how little baby clothes are!!! They’re so cute!!! So the plan is to start scrubbing down the toddler bed, turn it back into a crib, prep the newborn diapers, pack up the pocket diapers (Cupcake might not need them anymore!!), get the room nice and clean, and change out the artwork on the walls to make it a little more girly, and then wait for little sister to arrive.
Update: For the umpteenth time this girl is breech again! I usually have a harder time breathing when she is and I had a feeling she was. It’s been very hard to lean over as I’ve felt a large bulge under my right rib. A case of the hiccups confirmed her head is right there. Ugh! As much time as she’s spent breech it’s making me very nervous that we’re going to be dealing with hip dysplasia again. So, please keep your fingers crossed that that is not the case!
