Cheesy Chili Chip Dip

Hello!  How was your weekend? I started out my weekend with an awesome 5 mile run during a 40 degree heat wave, a whole lot of cleaning, bringing in the outdoor Christmas lights and finishing up my Thrift Gift Facelift item, which you’ll get to see on Friday.

I hear there might have been some football on, but I’m not the pro football watching type, so I skipped out on it in favor of an early bedtime.  #imcoollikethat  If you are the football watching type you might be looking for an easy and tasty game watching snack.  And that’s just what I have for you today.

This Cheesy Chili Chip Dip is a family favorite.  I’ve never been to a family get together where my uncle didn’t bring this dip.  And there’s usually none left over!

It’s so easy to make I feel silly calling it a recipe.  There’s only 4 ingredients, a bit of layering, and some baking and you’re ready to dip.

Cheesy Chili Chip Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can chili with no beans
  • 1 can diced green chiles, drained
  • shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spread softened cream cheese on the bottom of a pie dish or 8x8 baking dish. Layer on the chili, the chiles, and the cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.

The chiles are optional.  I like the dip either way.  Also, if you can double the cream cheese, spread in a 9×13 pan, but still use the 1 can of chili and you’ll get a creamier dip.  And more dip to feed a crowd.  And it will be a crowd pleaser.
