It’s college football season!!! It’s time to show your team spirit! Despite this week’s loss I’m still ever grateful, ever true to my Boilermakers!! So, I made a new wreath to show my Purdue love!
I started off with some little wood letters I picked up from the craft store along with some spray adhesive and glitter. I sprayed, sprinkled and let dry.
While I waited I got to work on the wreath. I started with a pool noodle from the dollar store and taped the ends together.
Then I got to work wrapping my wreath form with ribbon. Using hot glue I attached the end of the ribbon at a slight angle
and slowly worked my way around overlapping slightly.
Once I got back to the beginning I secured the end with hot glue.
To add a little more interest I took some chunky white yarn I had leftover from making my Welcome to the Hive wreath.
Once my letters were dry I shook off the excess glitter and attached them to the yarn.
The wreath needed a little something more, so I grabbed some felt from the stash and ran it through my Big Shot to make flower spirals.
I wound them, securing with glue every round or two. Some were wound tight, some a little looser.
A few got pearls in the center. Lastly I glued a loop of ribbon to the back for hanging.
And hung that beauty up on my old gold door. I’m a Boilermaker girl living in a Buckeye world. And I’m not afraid to flaunt it!
This wreath took less than an hour (excluding glitter letter drying time) and cost less than $10. You could easily switch out the letters and colors to suit your favorite team!
