It rained every day last week.  Thank goodness Cupcake had Safety Town every morning to get us out of the house for a little bit.  Otherwise we were getting a bit antsy.  We found a few projects and activities to keep us busy.  One of those fun activities was making watermelon lemonade ice pops!

Thank goodness for summer!  The second day of summer brought us some gorgeous weather just in time for the start of swim lessons!  Monday was such a gorgeous day we stayed at the pool for 3 hours after lessons to play!  When we finally dragged our weary selves home we needed a snack!

Watermelon Lemonade Ice Pops to the rescue!  They were such a refreshing treat after a day in the sun.  The girls love watermelon, but I wanted to make it a little more fun, so we added in the lemonade and it was a hit!

These are so easy to make!  Cupcake did almost all the work!  And you only need two ingredients.  Combine 2 heaping cups of watermelon and 1 cup of prepared lemonade in the blender.  Blend until smooth.  Fill your ice pop molds, freeze and enjoy!

There’s just a hint of tart from the lemonade, but enough sweetness from the watermelon.  Pumpkin doesn’t typically like lemonade but these were a hit with her!  So, if you’re looking for a fun activity with your kids in the kitchen try out these watermelon lemonade ice pops!
