With the temperature finally cooling off I decided it was about time I took my Felt Flower Spring Wreath off the front door. Yeah, I never changed it over the summer. Anywho, it was time for a fall wreath. I had purchased two wreaths back in the spring when they were on sale and the other one was just waiting for me in the basement ready to be made over. I picked up some polka dot burlap ribbon at Hobby Lobby for 50% off and got to work.
I needed very few supplies. And I had the helping hands of a 3 year old. And I need to put hot glue sticks on my shopping list for the next time I go to the craft store.
I simply started at the top of the wreath and glued one end of the burlap ribbon down on the back side and started winding the ribbon around. When I got back to the top I glued the other end down. I then made a simple ribbon.
I started at the middle of the ribbon, then folded out two loops. I took another small piece of ribbon and wrapped it around the middle, gluing it down in the back.
After poofing up the loops I simply glued it onto the front of my wreath and ta da!!!!
I grabbed a small piece of rope and looped it around a thick piece of vine on the back of the wreath and tied it off so I had a hidden hanger.
And now it’s hanging on my front door enjoying the cooler weather!
And it’s going to look great on the door for Pumpkin’s birthday party that is coming up in less than 3 weeks! Eeek!! I’ve really gotta get working on that!!
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? Cool enough for your fall wreath?
