With the temperature finally cooling off I decided it was about time I took my Felt Flower Spring Wreath off the front door.  Yeah, I never changed it over the summer.  Anywho, it was time for a fall wreath.  I had purchased two wreaths back in the spring when they were on sale and the other one was just waiting for me in the basement ready to be made over.  I picked up some polka dot burlap ribbon at Hobby Lobby for 50% off and got to work.

Simple Fall WreathI needed very few supplies.  And I had the helping hands of a 3 year old.  And I need to put hot glue sticks on my shopping list for the next time I go to the craft store.

I simply started at the top of the wreath and glued one end of the burlap ribbon down on the back side and started winding the ribbon around.  When I got back to the top I glued the other end down.  I then made a simple ribbon.

I started at the middle of the ribbon, then folded out two loops.  I took another small piece of ribbon and wrapped it around the middle, gluing it down in the back.

Simple Fall WreathAfter poofing up the loops I simply glued it onto the front of my wreath and ta da!!!!

Simple Fall WreathI grabbed a small piece of rope and looped it around a thick piece of vine on the back of the wreath and tied it off so I had a hidden hanger.

And now it’s hanging on my front door enjoying the cooler weather!

How’s the weather in your neck of the woods?  Cool enough for your fall wreath?
