Made for Mermaids is releasing a new pattern today!!  The Sutton Top and Dress is an adorable top or dress made from woven fabric, with beautiful details and a twirly skirt!  I had so much fun testing this pattern and it was fun to sew with a woven for a change.  Pumpkin was super excited to get two new dresses and a new top.

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingOh, and a pair of Olivia Pantaloons to go with her new top.  Look how cute she is!  And how cute her outfit it!  She flipped out over this outfit and immediately had to wear it.

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingShe loves circle skirts and this top and dress has just that.  Very high twirl factor.

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingThe front of the top has buttons down the front and the back has a scoop neckline.  There are two sleeve options.  The sleeveless option, above.  Or an elbow length option.

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingPumpkin loves the bows the ties make.  And the twirl factor.

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingThe princess seams on the bodice give you an opportunity to have a little fun.  You can add some trim or piping like I did in the sleeveless version, or you can do a little color blocking like I did with the dress.

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingWouldn’t this make an adorable Easter dress?  I got this floral poplin fabric from Girl Charlee and think it’s just perfect for spring!

Sutton Top and Dress #sewingDid I mention the twirl factor?

Pumpkin really loves the Sutton Top and Dress!  I made her a third one (adorable red, pink and black floral dress), but she was a little under the weather.  And the weather has been very uncooperative (so much rain………….) so we haven’t been able to take photos of it.  But of course she had to wear it as soon as I finished it as well.

If you are looking for some sweetness I would recommend you pick up this pattern, especially while it’s on sale (through Sunday 3/5).
